Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 10th March 2025

Welcome to Pledge Panda! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our platform. By accessing or using Pledge Panda (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About Pledge Panda

Pledge Panda is an online platform designed to connect individuals looking to offer their time and skills with those requesting tasks, while raising money for charities and community projects. We act as a facilitator, enabling users to pledge donations in exchange for tasks being completed.

2. User Responsibilities

2.1 Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform.
  • By using the Platform, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

2.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading activities.
  • Post or request illegal, offensive, or inappropriate services.
  • Misrepresent yourself, your skills, or your charity.
  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or any form of harmful behavior.
  • Share or misuse any personal data obtained through the Platform.

2.3 Transactions & Payments

  • Users offering services (“Helpers“) do so voluntarily, and payments go directly to the selected charity.
  • Users requesting services (“Task Posters“) pledge a donation to a cause in exchange for a task being completed.
  • Once a donation is pledged, it is non-refundable unless a dispute is raised and resolved in the Task Poster’s favor.
  • Pledge Panda does not handle funds directly; payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

3. Our Role and Responsibilities

  • Pledge Panda is a facilitator, not a service provider. We do not oversee, manage, or guarantee the quality of work completed.
  • We do not verify users beyond basic sign-up details and encourage users to exercise their own discretion when engaging with others on the Platform.
  • We reserve the right to remove any user or listing that violates these Terms or is reported for misconduct.

4. Disclaimers & Liability

4.1 No Guarantees

  • Pledge Panda does not guarantee the completion of tasks, the quality of services, or the reliability of users.
  • We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disputes arising from interactions on the Platform.
  • Users engage at their own risk and are responsible for carrying out necessary due diligence before agreeing to a task.

4.2 Third-Party Services & Charities

  • Pledge Panda partners with third-party charities and payment processing providers. We do not control their actions and are not responsible for any issues arising from donations or financial transactions.
  • Any disputes regarding donations must be resolved between the user and the charity.

5. Dispute Resolution

We encourage users to resolve disputes directly between themselves. However, if a dispute cannot be resolved, users may contact Pledge Panda at hello@pledgepanda.co.uk with details of the issue.

Pledge Panda may, at its sole discretion, review disputes, but we do not guarantee refunds or involvement in all cases.

Refunds may be considered if:

  • A Helper fails to complete a task after an agreed deadline.
  • A task is completed poorly or unsatisfactorily, and both parties agree to a refund.
  • A donation is made in error and no task has been assigned.

All refund decisions are at the discretion of the charity and/or the payment provider.

6. Account Termination & Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You breach these Terms.
  • You engage in fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity.
  • We receive multiple complaints about your behavior.

Pledge Panda also reserves the right to permanently ban users who repeatedly violate our policies.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We collect and process your personal data per our Privacy Policy.
  • By using the Platform, you acknowledge that certain public posts (e.g., task listings) may be visible to other users.
  • We will not share your personal data with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

8. Changes to These Terms

Pledge Panda may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
